Amber Taufen has been writing and editing professionally since 2005 and has been focused on real estate since 2014. She built the contributor program at real estate news outlet Inman News before being promoted to editor-in-chief and leading the editorial team for almost three years. She’s worked at a number of real estate technology organizations since then, and she specializes in helping buyers, sellers, investors, and homeowners learn how to navigate the complex real estate environment.

Amber has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in journalism, both from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a member of the mass communication and journalism honor society, Kappa Tau Alpha. Her budgetary analysis of the National Association of Realtors won a NAREE (National Association of Real Estate Editors) Gold Award in 2017. She lives in Colorado.
